Better Strategy Starts with Better Perspective

At Center Field Strategies, we help organizations navigate an increasingly complex political landscape through strategic counsel, grassroots advocacy, leadership development, and campaign expertise.

Whether preparing for a legislative engagement, building a grassroots network, or developing future leaders, our mission is the same: provide clear analysis, practical advice, and strategies grounded in experience—not ideology.

Like the center fielder who sees the entire field and helps position the rest of the team, we believe the best decisions come from the broadest perspective.

Why Center Field Strategies?

In baseball, the center fielder has the best view of the game. From that vantage point, they help position the defense, anticipate what comes next, and bring order to a fast-moving environment.

That's how we approach politics and public affairs.

We help our clients see the entire field by identifying opportunities, recognizing risks, and developing strategies that put them in the strongest possible position.

About Mike Sistak — Founder & Principal

Mike has worked in and around politics and government for nearly two decades, but his passion for politics started long before that. He was the high school senior asking classmates if they had registered to vote after turning eighteen.

Over the course of his career, Mike has served on Capitol Hill, held senior government relations and grassroots advocacy roles, and contributed to campaigns for the U.S. House, U.S. Senate, and White House. He has built award-winning advocacy programs from the ground up, trained more than 600 candidates and campaign teams across 23 states, and is a frequent keynote and conference speaker. His presentations combine independent, nonpartisan political analysis with the same straight talk and good humor found in his Substack publication, Political Rag.

Mike earned both his bachelor's degree in Political Science and his master's degree in International Security from The University of Arizona. He and his wife, Maddy, are originally from Phoenix and now live in Northern Virginia.

Fun Fact: The name Center Field Strategies comes from Mike's love of the game. Ironically, he never played center field — he was a catcher. A lifelong Chicago White Sox fan, Mike traces his family's roots to Chicago's South Side, where they first settled after immigrating to America. Early in his career, he even spent a season working for the Arizona Diamondbacks as a season ticket sales representative.
